Police are investigating the deadly shooting of a 14-year-old boy Tuesday in Chickasha.
Officers were called around 1:35 p.m. to a home in the 1200 block of West Chickasha Avenue, where they found a boy had been shot and killed.
Police are still working to determine what led up to the shooting, but they said there is no danger to the public. Officers also are not looking for anyone in connection with the shooting.
Friends of the family said the shooting was accidental and that they are heartbroken.
“My son was friends with him,” Vince Holton said. “They hung out together and played games together online and all that. And we really hate to hear the news and just wanted to see if we could console the family.”
