Taco Bell: Whether it is June 13 or June 20, the freebie will occur from 2 to 6 p.m. (local time) at restaurants. Marisa Thalberg, chief marketing officer, at Taco Bell said: “Regardless of which team ultimately wins the championship, we love that the real winners will be taco fans everywhere.” Taco Bell launched a similar taco giveaway during last year’s NBA finals. Tacos were given away after the Golden State Warriors won Game 4 against the Cleveland Cavaliers while on the road in Cleveland, Taco Bell said. Taco Bell: In other Taco Bell news, the Mexican-inspired fast-food chain held an investor and analyst meeting at its Irvine headquarters on Thursday to discuss meeting an ambitious goal of reaching $15 billion in sales by 2022. In the meeting, the chain said it will focus its growth in Brazil, Canada, China and India where the number of restaurants could reach 100 per market. Today, Taco Bell operates roughly 6,650 restaurants in 23 countries. Domestically, Taco Bell said it plans “enter highly pedestrian urban areas that do not have room for drive through.” This would include building more Cantina restaurants, a flashy new restaurant brand that serves alcohol. The first Cantina restaurant opened in Chicago in 2015. The restaurant – with its sleek design, exhibition kitchen and comfortable seating – aims to lure experience-driven millennials who seek urban environments to live, work and play.
Taco Bell: The restaurants feature alcohol and a tapas-style menu in addition to the regular Taco Bell menu. Others have opened in Las Vegas, San Francisco and Austin, Texas.
