The experienced Portugal international becomes Pedro Caixinha’s first signing of the summer, arriving from Serie A side Cagliari.

15:02: Kylian Mbappe has rejected a move to Manchester City, according to Spanish newspaper Marca.

It’s claimed City boss Pep Guardiola made a move to try and lure Monaco star Mbappe to the Etihad.

But Marca say Mbappe knocked back their advances because his heart is set on Real Madrid.

The 18-year-old – regarded as one of the world’s hottest prospects – has not yet decided whether he’ll stay at Monaco next season.

However, when he does go it’s likely that Real will be his destination.

14:44: Nemanja Matic wants to leave Chelsea, with Manchester United eyeing a swoop for the midfielder.

The MEN claim Matic has had enough of his time at Chelsea and is seeking an exit.

The Serbia international is said to have held talks over a move to Manchester United.

It would mean the player linking up with former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho once again.

All United and Chelsea have to do is agree a transfer fee and Matic will be willing to sign a contract.

14:33: Leeds United will wrap up Hadi Sacko’s permanent transfer in the coming days.

Sacko has been on loan at Leeds from Sporting Lisbon this season.

The 23-year-old played 42 games for the Whites this season.

And the Yorkshire Evening Post claim Leeds are pushing ahead with a permanent deal.

It is thought the winger will cost between £1.5m and £2m.

“Looks like were gonna have some more moments together guys,” Sacko tweeted yesterday.

“Very excited to stay there and help as much as I can.”
